Parish Nursing
Parish nursing focuses on the spiritual, psycho-social, physical, and
environment dimensions of parishioners in regard to wellness and management of
illness or disease. Our parish has joined the Partners in Congregational
Nursing, a program co-sponsored by Meriter Health Services and St. Mary's
Hospital Medical Center. St. Pat's Parish Nurse,
Peggy Weber, can be
contacted at 258-6336 or through the parish office at St. Pat's.
Communion for the Sick and Homebound
Arrangements for receiving Communion can made with Fr. Kertz for
anyone who is homebound or in an area hospital or nursing home who cannot come
to the Mass. Friends or family can also bring Communion to these people.

Peggy Weber.
Luke House
A Spaghetti dinner with all the trimmings is provided by our parish
and Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church on the 3rd Wednesday of each month for about
140 needy people who come to Luke House in Madison. A sign-up sheet is
posted on the bulletin board with specific items needed for each meal.
Help is also needed to serve and share the meal. Contact Sandy Pfeiffer
(838-3220) for more information.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The "Port" is a temporary home for homeless men in Madison. Our
parish has a strong tradition of ministry to these men, providing food and meals
throughout the year and gifts of necessary wearing apparel at Christmas time.
A Vincent de Paul collection box is located at the east end of the church for
usable items that may be sold at the St. Vincent de Paul Store in Madison.
Social Activities
A great evening of fun for the family called The Shamrock Spree
is help each year on a Saturday evening near St. Patrick's Day. A
Parish Family Picnic with lots of good food and games is held in the fall of
the year. Coffee and Donut Socials are held frequently during
the year following the weekend Masses. Watch for announcements in the
Church Bulletin regarding these activities.
